Work
Inspiration/Description:

Inspired by the history of photography, Edward Muybridge, Sally Mann, and silent movies (J'accuse).

Visions of an Interior Life

Using historic photographic processes and digital media I elaborate on the evolving disconnect between people in real space and time.  My work explores hidden moments of intimacy between two familiar bodies and forces the viewer into the position of the voyeur. I create a surreal sense of familiarity acting as a stage for the moment to play out.  Viewing the work is not about the perverseness of the act but about dissecting moments of intimacy that we can begin to understand and reawaken lost emotions and levels of our understanding.
